Texas Hot Sauce Company (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates TexasHotSauceCompany.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to visitors and customers of the Site, wherever you are located.

1. Information we collect

When you place an order, WooCommerce collects the information needed to fulfil it: your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, phone number if you provide it, and order details (products, quantities, flavors chosen inside a pack).

Payment is processed through WooPayments, which is powered by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on this Site; payment details are handled by our payment processor under its own privacy policy.

If you register as an affiliate, we collect the registration details you provide (name, username, email, preferred coupon code) and we track Completed orders made with your discount code, so we can rank Code Wars II and award prizes. When you visit the Site, WordPress and WooCommerce may collect technical information needed to run the store, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, in server logs and essential cookies.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the Site is not directed at children.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Process, fulfil, and ship your order, and contact you about that order;
  • Process payment and prevent fraud;
  • Operate the affiliate program and Code Wars II ranking and prizes;
  • Maintain and secure the Site and improve the store experience;

We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to the above without your consent.

3. How we share your information

We share order information only as needed to run the store:

  • Payment processing: WooPayments / Stripe;
  • Shipping: USPS and other carriers used to deliver your order;
  • Hosting: the provider hosting TexasHotSauceCompany.com.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Cookies

This Site uses cookies to run the store:

  • Essential cookies: keeping items in your cart, keeping you signed in, remembering a discount code applied from a creator link (a 30-day cookie, set by the affiliate plugin), and processing checkout.

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil your order, handle returns or questions about it, and meet tax and accounting obligations. Affiliate registration and order-tracking records are kept for as long as needed to run the affiliate program and award prizes. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information, including using a payment processor for card data rather than storing full card numbers on this Site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
